1998 brought home a second place finish and a High Drums Award at DCI Finals…
This year’s show focused on another great American composer: Aaron Copland. The program consisted of selections from Aaron Copland’s “modernist” works. Many of these pieces were written in the early stages of his career, and are much lesser known than his most popular works.
The eclectic essence of 1998’s repertoire unveils Copland’s genuine range of inspiration that spans a period of nearly forty years. The corps portrayed these works in a largely compositional format that emphasized staging, emotion and aesthetic qualities congruent to the musical presentation.
